Campo dei girasoli

Today we went to a huge field of sunflowers (Campo dei girasoli) to paint for Carolyn's class. It was beautiful. I was very happy with one of the paintings I did. Carolyn also thought it was good and only had one suggestion about the windows on the house.

I spent most of the rest of the day doing some sketches and watercolors for my sketch book in Jason's class for my midterms the next day.

Sola, I'm sure how you felt about that sketch of the lion, but I am a fan. I love lions and for some reason the shadows on this one bring out the lion's royalty. And his mane reminds me of mine when I wake up in the morning! LOL. I love this one. And the yellow field of sunflowers was breath taking. While I know there are so many other wonderfully beautiful places, there is something pleasing and soothing about the simplicity of this field and how you seemed to have captured it in your work! Oh and I loved the picture so much I set it as my desktop background. Would you be interested in selling me this one? If this one too is close to your heart, I understand...you will just have to put up with me asking to see it every once in a while ;)
