Montepulciano

Today was Carolyn's last day teaching and we went to paint in Montepulciano, a town in southern Tuscany, a little over an hour away from Corciano to paint.

It was a beautiful city with nice views, but I spent the majority of the day painting. I ended up doing a painting that I really love.

A woman asked to buy my friend Allison's paintings and then later asked to buy mine also but it didn't happen due to the price being too high. I don't think it was too high, I just don't think she really wanted to buy anything and possibly wanted us to give it to her. She was a nice lady though. She brought us ice cream and later water for Allison. If I hadn't liked the painting so much I might have given it to her.

From the sound of things you have almost become a staple of Italy. People passed by famous artists and artisans in the streets wanting to buy their art and this is what Italy was and still known for. And here is Sola, a woman whose heart is in her work and whose work has taken her all the way to Italy, where she is now part of Italy and what its famous for; great artists! I'm glad you didn't sell your piece, sometimes we can not put a price on the things we love.
