Castel Vieto y Primo Italiano lezione

Today was Jason's class and we went to a pretty little town with just a few homes on a hill called Castel Vieto. It had great views.

There were these two cute dogs above us looking down from the wall that we were painting in front of for shade. One of them was a boxer that I really liked.

Thomas (another instructor who is here to help Jason) helped me set up my drawing for my painting because I initially was doing it horizontally and everything was getting squatty. I was able to watch him paint and it really helped me. I like how the painting came out and was proud of it, but that opinion always changes when you put it up for critique and look at it from far away with everyone else's paintings. Oh well. It is one of my favorites but there are a few things that I would definitely need to change.

While we were there a woman came out to some of our group and gave them coffee she also offered us the use of her restroom. When I went to use it she was very sweet and was talking to us in Italian about the fact that she grows the tomatoes that she was using in her tomato sauce. Her house was amazing. From the outside it seemed small and old but on the inside it was modern and cool. She was a very nice lady and ended up bringing out more coffee during our critique. It was yummy and very strong.

We also had our first Italian class with a woman named Stephania. She was really good and taught us a lot. Later that night at the villanet I saw Deana and Gabrielle and talked to them confidently with my Italian and I felt like the class really helped with interacting with Gabrielle because I could say more. I also found out that Deana speaks French. So we decided that she would speak French to me and I would speak Italian to her.

When I got back to our flat I found out that we had internet at our place….SCORE!
