Today was Carolyn's class. We had to take a picture yesterday morning of the scene that we wanted to paint, and then we had to sketch it out on our canvas. She wanted to show us the difference between presketching and sketching on location. I decided to do a dramatic perspective of the a church tower and bell. I was pretty happy with how it turned out but I am not done. I also did a 30 minute painting of doorway (picture to follow.) She liked it and said that I should continue to experiment with working fast like that on a painting. 
Later that evening Carolyn had a wine party at her adorable little flat with the cute kittens. It was such a great time. She had a great spread of food and there ended up being lots of wine which we all partook of happily. We eventually moved the gathering from her place at
